When you want to make a great a first impression on social media, there are some things you can do to look put together and branded. Here are some tips that you can implement right now to making a great impression.

YOU Are The Brand!

First off, when it comes to branding, don't make it all about you and your network marketing company. I know it may go against what you have been taught, but nobody wants to see a profile photo of your product. They will not remember it. They don't want to see you constantly posting about products either. The best way to be memorable and build trust with your audience is to be authentically you and have a social media presence that's memorable.

I used to make this mistake where I posted my products a lot and even made super cute ads. But that's the problem. We are already being bombarded with ads every day on the net, social media, Youtube, TV. There can be thousands of reps in your company doing that too, but guess what? There's only one YOU. Plus, if you ever choose to leave your company and join a new one, you don't have to revamp or delete your existing accounts.

Handle Name and Display Name

Your handle name is your account name. It shouldn't be your company or your product plus your name. Remember, you want to be your brand. Instead use your name. But if your name is already taken as a handle name, try making it something that is relative to you and a name that you can use on all social media platforms so that your followers can find and follow you. For instance, I have been @shizukasamurai since the start of social media. I'm talking Friendster and Myspace. lmao. It's the name I have used for over a decade and I use it on all platforms. My visible name I use my first and middle name because my last name is hard for many to spell, pronounce, etc. So if you look at my social media, it's Shizuka Chr  istine.

Your Profile Description

Not all people read the profile description. We have become a society of super short attention spans and people tend to go straight to the photos. So, keep it concise, don't write long paragraphs, and use that space as a way to attract your niche market.

Your first few parts of your description should be really eye catching. Something about what you do and why people should follow you. For instance, if you are a six figure earner helping other moms make money from home, open with that! People will be intrigued. I know you may want to put, "wife, mother, and dog lover" or something of the like first. Guilty! But as so many of us do it, it's not setting us apart from the rest of the accounts out there. Plus, being a wife and mom are not jobs. They're blessings so we shouldn't list them like they are.

To make your profile look more approachable and human, use a few emojis here and there. It'll break up the text, draw the eye to the profile description, and help people see that you're no fake, spam account.

Photo

Your profile photo should be an image of you, not your family, your pet, or your product. You should look presentable and approachable in your photo. Use that same photo across all social media platforms so it's easy for your followers to find and identify you.

Color Scheme

Choose a color scheme for yourself that you can use all across your social media, in your marketing, et cetera. I first started with pink and purple, but as I love all colors, I eventually went with a pastel rainbow scheme that is visible all over my Instagram and my website.

Slogan or Catch Phrase

Focu"Are you in good hands?"
"I'm lovin' it!"
"Where's the beef?"
"Just do it."
"Because you're worth it."
"A diamond is forever."

Every company has a slogan or catch phrase that immediately makes you think of that company. I don't even have to tell you which companies these slogans came from and I'm sure you can guess all of them!

Think of a slogan or catchphrase related to your niche market, your mission, passion, interest. Something that is yours.

If you can't think of something right now, it's okay. Focus on creating content and giving value to your audience and eventually you will find your slogan.
